Tänään meillä oli töissä ihania lapsivieraita tutustumassa työpaikkaan ja elektroniikan valmistukseen, kun oli "Lapset mukaan töihin"-päivä.
Kokeilimme tuotannossa käytettäviä työasuja, piirsimme yrityksen maskottia ja tunnuseläintä eli murmelia sekä keskustelimme työstä. Poikien mielestä työpaikasta hyvän tekee "hyvä lemmikki". Tätä vastausta selittää ihana toimistokoiramme Aku, joka oli selvästi päivän paras asia.
Keskustelimme myös siitä, miten työpaikka voisi ottaa lapset paremmin huomioon. Poikien mielestä lapsia voisi huomioida paremmin työapaikalla "antamalla heille mahdollisuus siihen, että he pääsisivät tekemään sitä, mitä aikuisetkin" ja "ottamalla lapset juttuihin mukaan".
Pojille kerrottiin myös tuotannossa tehtävistä töistä, siellä käytettävistä koneista ja lisäksi pojat pääsivät kokeilemaan pienten komponenttien kokoamista piirilevylle.

Today we had wonderful children guests at work to get to know the workplace and electronics manufacturing, as it was "Take Our Kids to Work day" in Finland.
We tried on the work clothes used in production, drew the company's mascot and signature animal, the marmot, and discussed about the work. According to the boys, a "good pet animal" is a measure of good workplace. This answer is explained by our lovely office dog Aku, who was clearly the best thing of the day.
We also discussed how the workplace could better take children into account. The boys think that children could be better taken into account in the workplace "by giving them the opportunity to do what adults do" and "by including the children in things".
The boys were also told about the work done in production, the machines used there, and in addition, the boys got to try assembling small components on a circuit board.
