Social Responsibility at Muurlan Elektroniikka

For Muurlan Elektroniikka, social responsibility means fair and safe working conditions, supporting personnel development and actively participating in the well-being of our community. We are committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8, which promotes decent work and economic growth. Our goal is to create a working environment where our personnel can grow and succeed, while promoting equality and community. ​

 

We actively strive to positively impact the community around us, for example through charitable activities and local projects. Our social responsibility is reflected in all our activities – from personnel well-being to social impact.

Personnel Well-being

Muurlan Elektroniikka invests in the well-being of its personnel as part of its responsible operations. We strive to provide safe and fair working conditions that support the growth and development of our personnel. Training opportunities and regular development discussions ensure that each of our employees can develop their skills and find new ways to succeed in their work. ​

 

We also want to promote the cohesion and spirit of the work community by celebrating successes and anniversaries together when the hero wishes. We also organize theme days and holiday events that bring our team together to relax and enjoy being together.

By taking care of the well-being of our staff, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting educational opportunities, we also contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Code of Conduct and Ethical Principles

Muurlan Elektroniikka’s operations are based on ethical principles that guide our decision-making and everyday practices. Our Code of Conduct ensures that our operations are consistent with our values ​​and meet international standards of responsibility. ​

 

We adhere to the principles of the International Labour Organization (ILO), which guarantee safe and equal working conditions. We believe in openness, honesty and fairness in everything we do, and we consider the trust of our personnel, customers and stakeholders to be of paramount importance.

As part of the Community, Society and Environment

Muurlan Elektroniikka participates in projects that promote both local and wider social well-being or environmental well-being. We want to act responsibly and create a positive impact on our surrounding community and beyond. ​

 

In recent years, we have participated in several social responsibility projects, such as:

  • Sponsoring the Valon aika concert in Logomo (2022)

  • 'Supporting the 'Anna tukesi' organization to promote the well-being of low-income families. (we participate annually, e.g. 2021,2022, 2023)

  • Participation in the "Bring Your Child to Work" Day
    Supporting children's rights and opportunities to influence, while promoting family-friendly practices. (We participate annually.)

  • Participating in Animal Week for the environment and animal well-being (2024).

  • Participation in the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare's Christmas Campaign to promote the well-being of children and young people (2024).

Occupational Safety in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)

Occupational safety is a central part of our operations at Muurlan Elektroniikka. We want to ensure that each of our employees has safe working conditions that support both physical and mental well-being. ​

 

We comply with the ISO 45001 standard, which defines the best practices and risk management principles for occupational safety. Our workplace has a designated occupational safety manager and occupational safety representative, who ensure that safety-related issues are taken into account at all levels of the organization. ​

 

We regularly train our personnel in safety practices and occupational safety, and our employees are actively involved in developing a safer working environment. We strive for continuous improvement in occupational safety and ensure that safety is present in all our operations, from production processes to the office environment.
