Muurlan Elektroniikka is committed to responsible operations that respect environmental, social and economic principles. The electronics industry and our changing operating environment set high standards for sustainable development, and we meet these demands through continuous development of international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and transparent operating practices. We want to be a reliable partner that supports its customers' values and offers responsible solutions at all stages of production.
Environmental responsibility
Environmental responsibility is an integral part of Muurlan Elektroniikka's activity. We reduce our environmental impact at all stages of production, and our operations comply with the requirements of the ISO 14001 environmental management system. Sustainable material choices, energy-efficient production methods and waste recycling are key measures to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations.

We recycle all cardboard packaging and other suitable packaging materials that reach us to reduce waste. We constantly strive to develop environmentally friendly solutions, such as reducing energy consumption and in the future utilizing more and more renewable energy sources. This allows us to offer our customers products that meet both quality requirements and environmental values.
Social responsibility
Muurlan Elektroniikka wants to act responsibly towards its personnel and society. We are committed to high standards of occupational safety, and the ISO 45001 occupational safety certificate ensures that our working environment is safe and healthy. We encourage our employees to develop their skills and invest in continuous training so that they can grow as professionals in the field.
Muurlan Elektroniikka follows the Code of Conduct guidelines and the principles of the International Labor Organization (ILO), which ensure ethical operating methods and an equal working environment. We also want to be an active member of our community and have a positive impact on it. We do this through active participation and influence, charity, support and, for example, sponsorship.

The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – Responsibility at the center
Muurlan Elektroniikka supports the UN's sustainable development goals and is committed to promoting responsible business practices. Based on the materiality analysis, we have determined the most important SDG goals that we focus on in our business activities.
We are committed to ensuring safe and fair working conditions and to promoting the continuous development of our personnel. We support the training of our personnel and regularly organize personnel events that bring our team together and strengthen the team spirit. We want to create a comfortable work environment where everyone can grow and develop.

Our company's ISO 14001 certificate guides our environmental management and supports the UN's SDG 12 goal of responsible consumption and production. We regularly assess our environmental impact and set annual goals to reduce waste and improve material efficiency in the entire production process.
We have started a carbon footprint calculation and are developing future reporting plans, such as CSRD reporting, to ensure transparency and continuous improvement in our climate actions. In addition, our annual goals according to the ISO 14001 certificate support our climate actions and promote continuous improvement in environmental matters.

Preparing for CSRD reporting
Although the CSRD reporting obligation does not apply to Muurlan Elektroniikka as an SME, we have decided to proactively prepare for this new sustainability reporting standard. The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) brings with it even broader sustainability requirements, and we are preparing to meet them voluntarily in order to provide our stakeholders with more comprehensive and transparent information about our operations.
